Entertainment Book

Hey, does any one out there have an Entertainment Book they could lend us for this weekend?

We're off to the Jolly Frog in Mandurah for lunch, as a fambly do, and every one else seems to have one. If we can borrow it for the card/voucher/whatever is necessary to use it at the JF, we can return it ASAP. And generally suck up and flatter you in nice ways too. Even give you a cup of tea and a home made bikkie. :-)

well, I've got one, which I doubt that we'll get around to using. Feel free to drop around Boronia sometime in the evening to pick it up, if you're interested (or if you're going to the MARS quiz night I'll be there)

And don't forget that the new Entertainment Books are available this month everywhere except Perth, which will be available mid May. A great way to support your favourite charity.

We used to get them every year, but we only used it once last time, and this year going to the JF is likely to be it, so it's not worth it for us.

I don't use it often, but some things are great for me. The United Airlines 25% off coupon is worth $300-500. The Emerald Hotel discount saved me over $100 for Swancon. Admittedly, the former is no use unless you fly to the USA and the latter won't be in the new book, but I always find some good restaurants (and, to be fair, a couple of crap ones) in the Melbourne book. Don't know what the selection is like in Perth though.

Anyhow, I reckon it's one of the more fun ways to donate to charity. (And the RSPCA is just down the road from my place.)

I have one too, which I can deliver past [livejournal.com profile] mynxii's by wednesday.
The Jolly Frog is a nice restaurant. I did a day trip to Rockingham a few years ago with my then girlfriend, we ended up there because it was the most decent looking restaurant in the book! T'was well worth the extra minutes driving from Rockingham to Mandurah for dinner :)
and then all the way back to Kalamunda.

WE get them through our daughter's day care. With as many kids as we've collected, you only have to go to the movies once, or a fast food joint once or twice, to make the cost back.

We use ours quite regularly, but it's a matter of remembering you have it. We always find the voucher a couple of days after we've been to the place...

Yeah, when we went out it was worth it.

Since we no longer go out, it is not.

LOL

They are handy if *every one* in the group has one. Sounds like Chesh and I are the only ones who don't!!
