Lamb and Australia Day

Am I missing something? Why is every one talking about having lamb on Australia day like it means something? Why am I being advertised at, that I have to have lamb on Australia day? I don't think I have heard of this one before! 

My plan was something with "ese," or "ish" on the end - Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Lebanese... I hadn't decided yet

I'll be eating whatever I feel like that's in the fridge, personally. Australia Day is like any other holiday now - an excuse for marketers, anything from TV to meat.

Ironically, I'm actually considering roasting a butterflied leg of lamb, but probably on Sunday, rather than Monday. Could be a late Monday lunch/early dinner.

I love the Lamb ads but unfortunately we can't have lamb in our house unless its just me eating it .

Ken is allergic to Lamb which causes him a headache .
