Despite the illusion of calm happiness as evidenced by yesterday's pic du jour, there were some dramas yesterday.
I had an appointment for a hair cut at 9:30, so we rock up about ten minutes early. Everything went swimmingly. I now have a cricket ball head. Yay! At the end, I gave Ron a hold. The boys have been cooing and clucking and giving him little presents all morning. It's so cuuuuute. He's been in his travel capsule for most of this. Ron has asked the new girl top continue blow drying my hair. So, Ron has a hold, and Vincent starts screaming. :-( Not good. I try and calm him down, Ron tries to calm him down, Michael tries to calm him down, but he's really crying, a pain cry. Then I realise that his face is covered with the tiny ends of my hair, I expect from Ron's chest! Ouch! We wiped off as many as we could, but he was still bawling, so I'm thinking he might have got an end into his eye, so we raced home and had an emergency shower, making sure to wash his face thoroughly, and his eyes seemed clear. I'm hoping he's cried out any hair that might have been in his eyes.
Poor kid. :-(
So we spent the rest of the day snuggling and trying to make sure he's OK. He's a bit unsettled at times, but he seems fine, so hopefully it wasn't too traumatic. However John says that this morning, one of his eyes seems to be a bit puffy. I'll check it out later, when he's awake. I don't want to wake a sleeping baby!
