It's exactly like that in the book too. You get to about page 400 and then SUDDENLY THESE BAD VAMPS APPEAR! OMG! and you're like... it took 400 pages to get here?? Huh?

I felt like I had been battered by the plot bat, rather than lightly tapped.

I love the characters. At the end of the series, I just missed hanging out with them all.
