callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Default)
Tired. A little bit sore. (I seem to have hurt my right arm.) Quiet.
;-)

Very pleased to discover that Sean is as sweet and nice as I thought he would be. And cuter than remembered. *sigh* :-) A genuinely nice guy. Con was basically a blur of panels and people, many thanks to every one for helping out. *grin* I'm kind of over the Emerald, but we booked for Swancon ages and ages ago, and I'm not giving up that booking without a fight! Oh, and if any one had any hope of sleeping on our couch for XXX, the answer is "No." I expect, due to the squishy nature of the impending con, that I will need my own space even more desperately than I did at Wastelands, so tough. :-)

I am sure we have covered costs, but there's all this money and numbers still don't make sense right now. :-) We still haven't hit 50 people for Dinner with Sean yet, despite my hopes, but hey, if you don't aim for the sky you're just not aiming high enough. :-) Things are moving pretty damned fast at the moment on a few of my projects (the pots in my head keep boiling; I've just removed about THREE of them and now I have three more! Ack! I blame Grant, Stephen Dedman, my loving husband.............) *grin*

Glad it's over, as you always do when a con you are intimately involved with is. Looking forward at the next ones, there's a plethora in australia in the next 12 months of cons, but this little thing called money will be keeping us away from most of them. :-( Discovered today that Anne Bishop is the GOH for Thylacon, I loved her books, I had issues with them, as I do with pretty much most books these days, but it was an *adult fantasy* that wasn't PORN and dealt with subjects that always get thrown into the "too hard" basket.

I have been given a challenge for my Nanowrimo project. I might do some research and plan some chapters out now so it has a structure of some sort, and a bit of background helps to colour things so much more easily. And yeah; research. :-) Ahuh. Yeah. Sounds great. Um. Er. Later. *nods* Research.

Wot I'm listening to (lyrics below) I feel like singing along but don't know all the words yet *grin* so now you can all learn them with me!

All across the barren land
Still cold from winter's hand
It has been a time for tears
Season of the Goddess return
On this eve, the first summer night
Out of the darkness and into the light
Set the Beltaine fires alight
Season of the Goddess return
Hail! Hail! the Queen of the May
Now is the season, now is the day
A time to laugh and a time to play
Hail! Hail! the Queen of the May
Through the time when the green leaves hide
The dream of summer has kept us alive
Through the darkness we have survived
Season of the Goddess return
Let the leaves be green again
Let us all be free from pain
Out of the ice and into the flame
Season of the Goddess return!

Erk, song switch.....

Hey baby, wake up from your asleep.
We have arrived on to the future and the whole world is become...

Electronic, supersonic. Supersonic, electronic.

Hey baby, ride with me away. We doesn't have much time.
My blue jeans is tight, so on to my love rocket climb.
Inside tank of fuel is not fuel but love, above us, there is nothing above but the stars above.
All systems gone, prepare for downcount!
5
4
3
1!
Offblast!

Fly away in my space rocket.
You no need put money in my pocket.
The door is closed I just lock it.
(Hah!) I put my spark plug in your socket (Hah! hahahah!)

The sun in sky is bright like fire!
You and me gets higher and higher.
Tired of communication wire
Only thing can stop us is flat tyre.

(Hah! Hah! Ha ha hah!)

Hey love crusader, I want to be your space invader.
For you I will descend the deepest moon crater.
I is most stronger than darth vapor.
Obey me, I is your new dictator.

For you is venus, I am mars.
With you I is more richer than all the czars.
make a wishes on a shooting stars, then for you I will play on my cosmic guitars!

ladies and gentlemen, fasten your beltseats.
We has commenced our descent.
I trust you enjoy this flight as much as you enjoy this accent.

Now, back on earth, is time for down splash.
Into sea of eternal glory my spaceship crash.
People have arrived for to cheer me from near and far.
And as I bloat, I open door and shout:
I am world's biggest washed-up superstar!
(Supersonic, electronic)
As for sure as the sun rises in the west, of all the singers and poets on earth, I am the bestest.
Come, let me put ring of jupiter on your finger.
Then, like a smell around you, I will forever linger.

Okay, is time for end, no more will I sang.
let me take you back in time, I want for you to experience big bang.
Long live space race, long live Molvania.

giggle

Yeah, relaxing! Much dirt for telling, and unfortunately, not for the blog either *grin* Kind of a lot going on, as per usual, but under control again. *bounce* Hee hee hee.

No, it's cruisy, dinna fash yourself, ring me when you crawl out of your hair (I know what it's like to be hung over and have hair) to see how the day is going. I am expecting the vegie shopping etc to be over by about 12ish anyway, possibly even earlier, so plenty of time for us to get to Corinne's to check out corsetry in the afternoon. :-) Chesh and I are "spending quality time together" so perhaps I will drag him along too...

What are you drinking?

For those that are on the prowl for accommodation, the Mountway Holiday Units (directly over the footbridge) are nice and cheap. They are self contained so you can even cook your own dinner. We've stayed there before and for a family of 5 it was something like $80 a night.

yaaayy wastelands

Date: 2004-10-11 11:59 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] letsburn00.livejournal.com
Yeah wastelands was cool, the role of religion and then the one about women in the apocolypse were both excellent.

Although it was a small con and emerald was good sized, personally I don't know how swancon is going to fit in there.

Lots of lube?
*grin*
There were rooms we didn't use (althugh we had booked because it was easier) plus the third and fourth floors have open space in the central area of rooms, which I think we might be using. I'm not 100% sure though.
