You know, if BB really wanted some sex on TV, he should have two seperate, segregated houses with a wall down the middle, and they only see each other for social nights on Friday and Saturday and any money or fines taken off one group goes to the other group and consfiscated goods get passed between the houses and some of the weekly tasks would include a guy becoming a girl for a week and a girl becoming a guy for a week, including the dating and dancing thing. :-)

Maybe a whole week where every one has to wear antique clothing for the opposite sex, and speak in spiffy accents for the whole week. A punishment would be to go and slave for the other house.

I think it would be very interesting....One week where one house is Master and one house is Servant. Ladies Maids and etc. :-)

PBS has broadcast a bunch of these period reality shows -- I think Manor House is the best of them.

Yeah, that sort of thing was my inspiration... a friend tried to get into an australian version of that sort of thing too *grin*

But I stil want to include stupid tasks and generic mean-ness... does that happen in these shows too?

The cool thing is that in the case of Regency House, the generic meanness is completely built-in to the structure of the show. By the end of the run, the "Lord" of the manor was bemoaning the loss of such a rigid cultural class system, and that having a privileged class and a serving class made things run "so much more smoothly".

And they do have tasks -- different "events" and stuff that they have to prepare for. Which for the servants, given their usual schedules, created some really fun drama.

Or BB could make it more difficult for people to get any solo relief, and have tasks that involve lots of physical contact.

Haven't been watching, but I remember hearing that there was a challenge along the lines of pole dancing or strip tease. What would have helped is having a couple of instructors come in and teach the guys and girls separately, then provide costumes for the performance.

I was watching the live feed the other day (shush!) and Tim was explaining to Glenn about things like "matrilineal" and how some cultures have a matrilineal inheritance system... a) Glenn did not believe him that such a thing existed and b) I think Glenn is one of the biggest mysoginists in the house. I keep meaning to build up to a worthy rant on it, but ... well, you know....

Actually, it's because he is the only male in the house actually *trying* anything.

...And they're not falling for him, they are just responding to him as a male animal by a female animal. I have no problems with that, it's the other bits that people get all confused about later that I have problems with.

6 redblooded males, and the only one who is trying anything is the ugly shearer f*ck. *sigh* Sure, the logans might be small down stairs but they are nicely crafted menflesh.

But they're not trying anything either. The girls are wandering around going "We're bored, we want some action," and the boys go outside, spa, and excerse. What's wrong with this scenario??

You are quite right - he IS the only one trying anything. and while I agree it's physical, the women keep dressing it up in 'he's so genuine and nice'. That's what I think they are falling for.

As to why he's the only one trying anything? Well, I think the others have their eye on the prize - and Tim's sure he'll get knocked back.

And yes, Tim thinks he would get knocked back, and I wonder how many times before he's been too scared to make a move and the poor girl just never noticed his interest. At least in here, Kate can't escape.
