Next week they are covering Molecular Gastronomy and all sorts of yummy looking stuff. This week they covered Wagyu beef in ausrtralia! Now there's a herd i would NOT recommend letting any one else have ccess to breeding capabilities (*horde horde horde*) Mmmmm food....

There's apparently a gastronomie club in perth but it was hard to make out if it was an italian family who just looked to cook it up or if it was a club people could actually join. Mind you, the food looked awesome, and so probably out of my price range right now! And I want to go to Tasmania and eat everything....erk...

i want to be one of *those* cows. 18 hours of sleep a day? sounds good to me! plus, toys!

i feel sorry for the cows/steers on our farm, now. they don't have toys.

i didn't even read that article, it just looked right so I linked... apparently Wagyu in Japan also get massages every day as well to make sure all the fat marbles correctly....

So these cows get more sleep than us, toys, probably a better balanced diet, and in some cases massages...

having eaten beef in Japan (no idea if it was wagyu or not) I can say that very few beefs in Australia compare. Marbling works.
