I have to say that it really does depend on the recipe as to which egg subsitute to use, it's best to have a good old experiment and play with them. Also most fruit purees work well in cakes and sweet things, not just banana, apple sauce is brilliant in a sponge cake for example.

apple sauce is used extensively to replace oil too in my freezer friendly list.

It's about 5-6,000 ladies from around the world but mostly american who are into once a month cooking, freezer friendly cooking, and just cooking in general.
:-)

It's focus is not entirely on freezer stuff, which is nice. Also a lot of thoughts on crock pots too.
