callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Red tomato icon)
Delighted that the first thing I find out is that Candypants has indeed made it to Melbourne, and had dinner with Neil Gaiman (and heaps of other people) last night. Damnit, glad she made it! She's one person I was hoping to catch up with! I hope liluri and strangedave gives her sh*t for being so quiet on LJ. :-) I'd sms them to make sure they do, but have managed to lose both mobile numbers, and I expect Lil doesn't even has hers with her anyway. *grin*

Missing the fun already!! Had an sms from Mynxii, and have, via her, made a rather cute friend blush. Yay! I can hass people out in absentia, via Mynxii! I am so goood! *hugs* to my victim...

Had a fantastic lunch at the cafe the girls and I went to on Saturday. Awesomely stuffed. Looking at what we ate afterwards, I was struck by how out of all the food (we had tasters platters, so there was lots of everything) most of it was vegetarian, and if you included the one meat dish, you could say it was piscetarian (sorry if I've fucked the spelling there) since it was a smoked cod dish. As for a pickers platter you get to chose four of the dishes they do as mains/entrees, but because we ordered three platters we got to order six.

Caramelised onion and olive tart
smoked cod in white saucey thing
stuffed field mushrooms (two)
roasted pumpkin tart
chick pea patty

On top of very fresh salad and lightly steamed vegies, with the occasional peice of boiled egg quarters, and yummy home made wholemeal bread. Plus we bought a bottle of their wine, and they gave us water.

And then....

We also had dessert! I had a full sized sticky date pudding. I failed. I almost maybe two mouthfuls past half way. I should have gone for half size. Mum had the lumberjack. This was equally divine. She had a half size. She did not finish that. Dad had the warm apple pie. He asked for half size, but we have doubts... and he didn't finish that either.

Mmmmmmm was good. Out in Bickley, which is beautiful. :-)

Galliers is now a part of Armadale hospital, they've always been on the same block but now they have the same letterhead. :-) Armadale and Galliers are on Albany Highway, about 1.5 - 2 ks further up from Brookton Highway turn off. So, however you would normally get down there (Tonkin, Albany, Ranford Rd, South Street, Forrest Road, etc, as long as you get to Albany at the end you're fine.)

The hospitals and other stuff is on a big loop. You turn in, and almost immediately there are exists into car parks, but you'll probably miss them. (This is a SMALL hospital. It's not like SJOG Murdoch or SJOG Subi where you can get lost on the parking floors. There are no parking floors.) So, if you follow the big loop around, you'll see three major building/entrances. The first one has a 1,000 point font that says Emergency Services (I think.) The second entrance is directly ahead from the carpark entrance, and is Armadale Hospital. It too has emergency services, but no sign I think. Anyway, the third entrance is Galliers. Each of these entrances has a huge wildflower motif. You want the Golden Wattle. When you come inside, there's heaps of specialists and an afterhours clinic and stuff like that. Walk up the stairs or the elevator, there's only two floors. You're already probably about a third of the way into this place by now. :-) If you continue to go around, you will find a cafe type place with dodgy food and coffee and cake. But anyway, onto the second floor.

Step out of the elevator, and turn right. Or walk up the stairs and follow the flow around, and there's the hospital reception. If you don't know where you're going, ask here. There were only 54 beds at Galliers. Now that it's public I have seen a room or two with two beds in it, so it might be up to 56 or so beds by now. Not a big hospital at all. Visiting hours are usually 2 - 8. Parking is free. I should have my mobile with me anyway, so sms me or John if you like/want to/think it might be wise. I'll try and be dressed and etc during waking hours!! My mobile number is 0414 762 904. (It hasn't changed.)

If you select "access" on the left hand side, then you can see the coloured bits and see what I mean about entrances. I am in the YELLOW section.

No, baby has not yet dropped. Just thought I had better post it now, rather than in the made helter skelter that could be occuring at any second from now on. Not that this is stopping me from leaving the house at all. :-) I'm picking the red tomato icon, because I am feeling particularly ROUND right now.

I don't think it's going to be long at all. You're showing all the other signs.

Thinking of you. *Hugs*
