No, I am not in labour.
:-)

But anyway, on Tuesday night we had a bit of a surprise of some clear fluid on the toilet floor when least expected. By least expected, I mean, I went to the loo, got up, and stepped in it. It was cold, so it wasn't a recent thing. It was also reasonably odourless, and colourless. Thinking it catwee, I mopped it up using tissues and flushed them. Later on, I started to think about this a bit more...

Tuesday was a not-coping day. :-) Anyway, before people get too excited, I rang the midwives and had a chat, and decided that it was probably not my waters breaking, but that I was to ring in 2 hours and let them know if there was any further trickling or pains. That meant about 7ish. No worries. :-)

We ate at about 7, and I figured I would ring up after BB was on, but the midwives rang about three quarters of the way through, and I was most disappointed to report no changes and no trickling. Apparently it was quite busy in the labour ward that night, and Dr Anna was also in, and wanted an update too! :-) So, I said I would try and cross my legs until next week. Damn, hey what? And we'd been trying very hard not to get excited that night...

Today's visit to Dr Anna.
We were early. *grin* John had to work today, after hoping to get the day off in lieu of some of the many hours he has spent at work over the past ten days or so. Ah well, you get that. I figured I'd rather he go to work and we have the day off on a nice sunny day when we can go to the Packing Shed for lunch and not have him stressing about servers and mail. We were chirpy, Dr Anna was chirpy, we had a good laugh about midwives and piercings. So, blood pressue is cool, and no diabetic problems with the urine sample. Coolio. Then we get to the fun bit, which is where she does the ultrasounds. :-) It's fun, it's great to see the baby.

It looks like I have dropped. I am all set to go! Baby's head is in the right position, looking the right way, and is breathing. S/he is happy, no idea of size, probably about 3.6 kilos or 8 pounds, and everything is looking good. She checked amniotic fluid as well, and it all looks good so Tuesday was a false alarm. Goodo. So, she wants to see me next Wednesday, however expects I will probably have already gone into labour by then, and if not then we'll talk about dates for inducement then. (As far away as possible from 28th sounds good to me. I'm not a huge believer in inducement for me. I'm happy to suffer. *grin*)

So.... wow! Chesh and I are giddy with excitement! *grinning and giggling* So with the baby's head in position, that explains the changes over the past two days from gentle squimings to movements with a bit more force. Basically, Sproglet now has more room to move because his/her head is in position.

Wow again!

Wow wow wow wow!
:-)

EEeeeeeek!
*grin*
