So, if we divide today into 3 hour blocks, who's betting on when labour starts??
:-)
Just trickin' ya!

Went to bed last night at 9:30. Despite an afternoon sleep of 3:00ish - 5:30. And getting to bed at 10 and sleeping to 11 the night before. But still, for some reason, last night I remained IN bed for most of it,the only nocturnal wanderings was for the ladies. I don't know what's going on, but my typing is SHOCKING this morning. Seriously, I am fixing up every second word!

I'm feeling positive and happy. I made myself some toast. John made me some toast. John made me some coffee. I made me some coffee. I've only been up since 8:10! :-) Hmmmmm fruit bread. Now my tummy is growling as it digests. :-) Noisy tummy. Going to visit the ob today. I'm in such a good mood that I even considered coming home and having sandwiches for lunch rather than heading to armadale and buying something for lunch! That never happens in my universe!

:-)

I don't know what your daily schedule looks like, but whichever block would be most inconvenient for you, that one's the safe bet.

LOL

My current bet is about 3 in the morning. But that's just me.
:-)

Most inconvenient would probably be about 5 in the afternoon. Cos I'm usually in desperate need of a sleep, getting a sleep, or groggy and ill from a sleep!

hope it all goes well :)

are they likely to induce you if you go over?

Inducement seems to be pretty common, really. usually a baby is "to term" if it's born between 38 - 42 weeks, and I'm *in* my 40th week now, so I'm not in a hurry.

However if this was an uncomfortable pregnancy, I can see why people would be going "Now! Now! Induce me now!"
:-)

my last two friends who gave birth (my cousin and also [livejournal.com profile] fayr had such traumatic and body breaking experiences that I now only expect horror stories (in both cases the baby was lodged underneath the mother's ribcage and emergency caesarians had to be performed)

so I would say avoid a c-section if you can, but don't get into the mess my other friends did. ugh.

Well, the baby's already gone from under my ribcage, so the chances of that happening are a million to one. S/he'd have to go back UP!

I'm expecting this to be painful, but relatively simple. Much screaming wailing etc, but nothing untoward.
:-)

9 out of 10 births are apparently non-complicated. People just have more fun telling the horror stories. :-)

My mum was apparently a bit of a freak when she had my sister and I cos she had a really tough membrane and the dr had alot of trouble breaking it for each birth.

I was born two weeks late and I'm pretty sure babies can understand a certain amount in the womb , cos my mum was supose to be induced on the Monday and I turned up on the Sunday much to my dr's annoyance (he was playing golf at the time).

My mum was lucky in one way that both her labours only lasted a day ,alot of labours can go up to 36 hours or more.

Alot of woman get baby brain while pregnant , things should get back to some kind of normality after the birth (well apart from the chaos a baby creates).

Peh. It'll be in August. No July baby for you : )

All the cool kids are having their babies while Dave and I are away, and we haven't left yet!

With you being pregnant , it's made Ken tease me more about having kids .

I have to try to refrain from talking about kids and babies in front of him , for some reason he is still hopeful that we'll have kids and he's a silly man.

My bet is it will be late, and once you schedule an inducement, then it will choose to arrive. babies have timing down perfect for things like that.
