callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Good as Gold AOL)
Mmmm. It's now two days since the Conevant gig and I'm also together enough to make a post. :-)

Covenant Gig: Hrm. Mmmm. Yes. It rocked. Mmmmmm. Not a lot more to say, I think every one has covered this on their own blogs. However, after starting my rant, it looks like I have more to add... The guys were awesome, the music fantastic, the after party great. As per always when I stay overnight at S's place on the couch, I was sick. Probably the mixing of alcohols - we started with Champagne, then red wine, and then white wine, then we went to the concert, drank some shocking white wine there, went back to S's place, drank more champagne, and then went to Sin where I drank Vodka Ice. I was not well. But I made it to work by 12:00 (read 11:58) and then went to lunch the peking duck) at 12:17. Got back at 3:20. Went to Customer Service Building and chatted. Went back to my desk at 4:00 and shut everything down and went back to CSB and chatted until John picked me up. Good thing too, still not quite on earth yet. Got to chat and have a great time with JB and got to know him a tad better which is funny because I have known him for years. I gave him a cigar, and after a while he goes "I'm feeling a bit lightheaded" and so we went back inside to sit down. It turns out he was inhaling ALL the cigar smoke (Cafe creme cigars, mild as far as cigars go, but would still pack a wallop) and then HOLDING HIS BREATH. No wonder he was lightheaded!

Favourite comments on the night: after the third or fourth encore, I decide I want to hear Figurehead, and start chanting. My friends start picking it up, and couple of others too, for about a minute, until the first bars of Figurehead start to play. JB looks at me in amazment, and says "Jesus, anything you WANT!!??" I just laughed and said I had to be careful what I wish for!! The other favourite comment was actually an email to Cheshire, asking "What was Callisto casting?? I am sure it was something Cthullian!" Now, my hand movements were a tad odd, but.... LOL. I was kind of occasionally going with a bellydancing type theme OK?? *hands on hips, laughing* Gottit??

The guys from Covenant were really sweet. The lead singer sat next to [livejournal.com profile] dragonchrome, after *ASKING HER PERMISSION* OMG how sweet is that??? They play about 5 encores, and then ask for PERMISSION TO SIT IN AN EMPTY CHAIR AT A REASONABLY CROWDED NIGHTCLUB. Did I mention that he was THE LEAD SINGER?????? Mind you, if he'd asked me something like that, he might have got a response like "Yeah, sure, where's your hotel room again?" LOL Ok, maybe not. *sigh* Obviously the blonde blue eyed lead singer types like blonde blue eyed gothy types with english rose skin and height.... I guess I just don't fit *THAT* bill!

Did I mention he was the lead singer?? Sorry.... *grin* I really liked the fact that they all came on stage in matching three peice black suits. It was hot. It was a great concert. They played every one's fave songs - I've yet to find a journal post that said "They missed my favourite song X" (...lead singer...) I also think the metro was surprising fitting venue. It looked like there was maybe 300 odd people, lots of old goths came out of the woodwork. :-) and the metro was nicely industrial. I got accosted! By some 19yo dane boy. Huh! I was amused. He grabs me by the wrist and presses himself against me and goes "blah blah blah" and I go "Who are you??" and he goes "Blah blah blah" and I go "What?" and he goes "Where are you going?" and I say "to the ladies...", licked him on the neck (that's how close he put himself) and then just kept going. *grin* I bet I surprised *him*. I was even more amused because I wasn't even dressed for attention!! (...lead singer .... asking PERMISSION!!...)

When we got thrown out of Sin, I am glad I had a chance to give thanks to the other bandmember who came to Sin (the keyboardist who also sang and had a pointy little goatee and a cute scruffy spikey haircut) for a fantastic concert. The comments on [livejournal.com profile] maffyews post to the perth goths group that we're a very receptive audience makes me go all warm and gooey inside. KS and I were so hyped the next day still that we were talking about how we both still would have liked to find a way to give something of what we felt BACK to the guys in the band, a kind of thank you feeling I guess.

I also noticed my hand movements were different from a lot of people (thanks NB, for your comments about Cthulhu, but I had noticed them before, just in a different way *grin*) in that sometimes I would be thrusting my hands to the band (as every one does) but with my hands wide open, with the palms forwards. It was like I was trying to absorb as much as I could; I want to take take take and accept it all and just suck all that energy in... or rather be open to the receiving of that energy openly and without hindrance. Most other people tend towards the fist or pointing at the band; I was wondering if perhaps in a power/energy sense they were trying to return the energy back on the bamd; creating a loop there of the relationship between audience and performer. Hurm. Food for thunkings. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] mynxii is having a dinner party, and it's all spiralling out of control!! :-) She's started inviting every one else, except failed to tell me WHAT saturday it was, just blathered on about it being a saturday or friday. I said fridays are bad (roleplaying. Or rather, sleeping on the floor as others roleplay over me) and so I thought it was THIS saturday. It appears not - I discover this on Friday morning after I had made arrangments for a "special meal" I was going to take along. Sorry [livejournal.com profile] mynxii, [livejournal.com profile] akire_yta, ST, SG, every one else, it looks like my mystery dish of crayfish thermidor is going to have to be eaten by my folks and I because I started defrosting them on THURSDAY. (24 hours in the fridge so they defrost gently.) Now I need to cook them up for dinner tonight!! And they're beautiful crays too. LOL. Bwahahahahahaha. I am going to have to train Mynxii-cat to email me specific "action emails" and "information emails." Actions are the ones that start with "Callisto, Can I/You/Cheshire please do/organize/think about/ XYZ," And information specific ones to start with "Callisto, please be HERE at THIS DATE AND TIME and BRING THIS WITH YOU." I get a lot of nice fluffy emails which i enjoy, but it gets hard to wade through them all for the hard facts that I live off in my diet. *grin* Ah, such is life.

Oh yeah, hey every one, yum cha on Sunday, SMS me on the morning as to how many people are coming with you and just rock up. That place what used to be chau's. One o clock, Sunday. I'm thinking of starting a mailing list called "Perth Yum Cha" or something, as my last email for this sunday probably covered about 30 odd people given it included 2 mailing lists and about 5 - 6 friends as well. And if we can do it once we have Majordomo running then it can run itself and every one can subscribe or unsubscribe automagically. Which would be nice. (Lead....... singer......)

(They played Babel for me. They kept improvising though - and I was sooooooooooooo hoping I would get to hear his voice break again on my faveourite line - "I want to wear the Mark of Cain...." In the live version I have, his voice breaks on "Cain..." ahhhhhh true angst ..... I loooooove it.....)

hahahahahhaa

He was just being polite. He was pooped and wanted to sit down, and the empty chair next to me was the closest at hand. XD

Such nice Swiss men.
