Did I mention today was my lucky day?
Jan. 14th, 2008 08:00 pm When I was working on the monthly budgets at the beginning of january, I was putting stuff iinto various calendars and doing stuff, and found my mouse hovering over today's date. And I realised, that day was a lucky day. So I put it into my calendar.
And today has indeed been a lucky day!
- I underestimated the Medicare rebate for a bill by $100.
- Everything we needed from Big W was on special, or just hell cheap anyway
- The Volvo appears to be fine, and will not need a reconditioned autotransmission ($3,000) nor a new transmission ($5 - 6,000) Yay!
- JChesh got another call about contract work! He emailed his resume to someone on Friday who rang him within twenty minutes. And rang again today with a contract starting immediately! AWESOME!! Next comes the interviewing etc! (He doesn't yet have the job or anything, we're just very excited regardless)
- I made fish and chips! I didn't even have instructions for the chips, I just remembered varius bits and peices and guessed, and they worked! Yay! Plus we had a green salad with lovely balsamic vinegar for dressing, and fruit salad with vanilla verjuice for dessert! AWESOME!
- I am sitting outside watching the sunset sky (the sun is behind the house right now for me) and working onn my novel on the Eee! Another dream come true! I feel like I can do anything!
- Vinnie stayed at Nanna's last night, so we got to sleep until 7:45! (Just don't ask abut the time between 4:40 and 7:00) but Chesh let me sleep in, so I recovered from my morning wandering OK.
- Mynxii has given us some details on some nice hotels for Wasteland II, Age of Iron! Checking that out tomorrow!
- I have been doing more work/thinking about FEMMECONNE! Yay!
What a lucky, lucky day! Jack is getting fat, which is brilliant! He's a strong, happy little boy and we all live just for his smiles. Vinnie loves him so very much, and Jack loves him back already too if the smiles are any indication!
