ABC Daycare
Sep. 14th, 2009 07:50 amABC Daycare have debited my card for $200.
I haven't had kids with them since May. Early May. 2 weeks before
redbraids and
mikey_ob 's wedding, in fact. I know in excrutiating details exactly when my daycare ended.
They sent me a rude letter in June, saying they wanted $48.00, and that if I didn't pay it they were going to send it to a debt collector.
Okay then. I'm confused, because they debit my account automatically, and sure enough, $48 came out of my account on the 3rd day of the month in July.
Nothing in august, which is good, because as far as I am concerned, I have paid in full. Not only have I paid for a fill amount for May, despite the fact we only used 1 week, and that should cover the "2 weeks in advance" crap, but it means everything should be squared and done.
Nope. They reckon I owe them more money. So now they are 'going to send me a statement' and I said fine, and I want my money back, and they said 'we'll get an area manager to go over the statement with you,' which, again, fine, but I want my money.
Should I let the bank know *now* that I am in dispute with the provider? Or should I wait?
One day I would like someone to finish their account nicely, cleanly, and without needing me to get angry and hunt them down. What the fuck is with people these days? How can they terminate my contract with them in MAY and then keep debiting my card for four more months? And why the fuck didn't their autoatic system take it last month, which would have been logical if I owed them money, but this month?
I am shitty, because to me this is clearly a case of wrong or right. And yet there's going to be fluffing around, face to face meetings, phone conversations, DICKING ME AROUND. Why should a simple Yes/No come down to human leveraging and pressing the right buttons to make me fuck off?
ETA: I may have figured out where this come from. Their accounting systems suck.
