So angry... how can our justice system allow a man to beat a woman to death OVER SEVERAL DAYS and then just give him a SIX YEAR SENTENCE? Possibly four years if he's a good boy???

Is it just me? Am I so fucking stupid and so on my own planet that I think this is WRONG? I burn with hate and just want to be violent I'll damn well show him what it's like to die slowly, beaten to death over several days...

How can we allow this? How can this man be allowed to walk free after a few years? How can our society just let this happen?

HOW CAN SO MANY GIRLS THINK FEMINISM IS NO LONGER NEEDED WHEN THIS HAPPENS? SIX FUCKING YEARS?

And her daughter tried to help her. Before she died.

Does no one feel this? Am I the only one who cries for strangers? Do people think she deserved this? Because her husband thought she was having an affair? Even if she was, would she deserve this?

i've not seen news recently so i've missed this...

it upsets me, makes me angry, and yet feel helpless all at once...

six years is justice? fuck that for a joke. that's just insulting, ridiculous... there are no words to describe this travesty

I think maybe a fifteen years in a psych ward may help.

I gave up on the justice system a while ago when a friend got totally screwed over by the justice systems and another friend got screwed over by the police dept .

Unfortunatley the justice system seems to protect the guilty more than the innocent , while the poor families live in fear and pick up the pieces of ruined lives .

Willeton. The family moved over from India a few months/a year before he killed her.

I wonder how long he will actually last in the prison system.

6 years is a travesty. Our justice system does not meet out justice, sadly.

I'm usually a big defender of the justice system, having worked in it, but when I saw this last night I was outraged and disgusted. I could not believe that the jury didn't find him guilty of murder but of unlawful killing (which may be the reason for the light sentence 'cos of sentencing guidelines). Apparently they believed his story that he only beat to frighten her - yeah, over 4 days.

Who knows how he'll go in prison. I suspect he's very much blind to his crime and believes it was her fault. That sort of attitude is very common in prison and may well protect him a bit.

This makes me sick.
I was thinking the other day: they're all mad. Suicide bombers, politicians, people I have to deal with at work. Their thinking is so alien that they might be another species. My mind recoils from the knowledge that the creature who beat his wife to death is *not* another species.
If I knew anybody in that prison I'd be tempted to arrange something.

:(

i don't understand how anyone can be allowed to use jealousy as an excuse for anything at all. It's the one emotion i would nuke if i had the magic button.

Was the judge a man? I am lost for words but I am angry, very angry.

so...where did this happen? I missed this one entirely and can't turn anything up by searching the web. Someone murders his wife and only gets 6 years?! What was the justification for such a light sentence?

In willeton, Perth, Western Australia. Apparently he had been going to psychiatric help for some time.

Still not happy though. I haven't heard anything else since, but I also go out of my way to avoid the news and things like that precisely because of stories like this.

:-(

Thanks for the information. It's infuriating to hear about things like this.
