It was a Swancon thing. Hopefully, that teacup is empty, and shall remain so.

It was unlikely to affect any one not committee, so I was being discrete. But, y'know, rumours being what they are, I am sure you will probably all have more details by now than I do.

I had a fantastic Australia Day. A truly great night. Armadale is wonderful for their Australia Day. I loved every second, and had no negative experiences at all. There were people of all denominations and races and partnerships and every one was just relaxed and happy. This is what community is about. And the finale of the fireworks made me gasp, and brought tears to my eyes instantly. Absolutely awesome and amazing.

As someone who's only in perth occasionally, I've heard very little about SwanCon. I check the website to see if it's still on and for program info occasionally, but nothing beyond that. If there be rumours they certainly don't make it up the hill to Northam.

Glad to hear that your unhappiness was just con related and nothing really nasty and serious. Catch you in March if I don't see you before.

Australia Day

My day was mostly quiet, ended up walking down to the South foreshore with illiadic, (parking less than 1/2 hour from shore), finding a spot almost right at the shore and had a lovely time. (Only a couple of aussie shouters). Must remember in future to have overclothing... And I did get to use my new picnic blanket & cheeseboard that I had gotten for Chrismas, so that was good.
