The Leunig cartoon our prime minister refused to let be printed:

You know, I always hated Leunig cartoons, but this one amused me. I always found them boring, pretentious, and lacking in humour. Occasionally they were depressing, arrogant, and righteous. But anyway...

Refised to let printed? I didn't know about that!

Just as kings had to put up with their jesters, Prime Ministers should put up with cartoonists. It's very bad form to censor or punish your jester. They might be telling an uncomfortable truth.

I don't mind Leunig, and that one made me laugh!

Leunig kind of has two modes - whimsy and wicked.
BTW - I think it was the editor of the SMH that refused to print - Media Watch has more detail on their site.

Hmm! Not bad, but the one that tickles me most is the one about votes being burned in a furnace to fuel a generator that powers a dim lightbulb in a loo that politicians make use of. Both bitter and imaginative in equal spades. :)
