And by the end of them, my stomach will be as big as the world!!!

Saw the Obstetrician today, Spawn II is about 1.4 kilos. My emails say s/he should be around 1.1 - 1.25 kilos. However apparently that's pretty much the same as what Vinnie was at the same point, so 'average' I guess. The little terror kicked before the Dr had a look, and then afterwards, and not in between. S/he was also a little shy too, so we got to see an eye and a cheek but s/he was turned away. S/he is in a good position, the bum is on my right hand side, and the head down on my left. At least until tonight's turn and flip moves.
:-)

I am sick with a cold. I think I shall just give up on baggies for this year's con. It's too hard, and not 100% necessary. But there might still be flyers and leaflets for us all.

Vinnie is so much better. He is grinning and delightful and a little ray of sunshine once again. I stand in awe of his happy powers, and just wish I felt better and less like I need to nap all the time so I could soak up his generally good nature. But once this cold is over, it'll be better.

All signs point to YES for the roof being replaced on Monday. Can't wait for it all to be over.
:-)

I am thinking of having an Inducing Party on the Sunday of Night's Edge. Every one can bring something to try and bring Spawn II into the world. Apparently constant nipple stimulation for 20 minutes at a time can work, and so can lots and lots of sex, but this is likely to be a clothes on party. Well. You know. Er. Fresh pineapple is good. And hazelnut praline semi freddo apparently works too.

Our midwife instructors told us that the nipple simulations and the sex, sex, sex only work if the time is right anyway - they can give you that push over the edge. Still, lots of fun trying to find out if the time is right.

Praline semifreddo failed for us last time with Bilby, but any excuse is a good one.

so what about mowing the lawn? Mind you, I don't think that one worked, with eldest or youngest children. Neither did lots of jumping on the little trampoline, long walks, or any of the other myriad things tried. Only thing that seemed to work was either lack of sleep, or getting several hours of time *to myself*!
