Mum is home

They are scheduling the operation for after Christmas. They're not sure which operation, there's two ways of doing what they need to do. One is a 12 hour operation.

bloody hell! glad she is home, but a 12 hour opp is a bit rough. is the other option a much nicer one? I hope it is and I hope it is the nicer one she needs.

I'm so glad that she's home - hoping that the other operation is much nicer (such an odd word for the circumstance), and all in all that the problem is cleared up with as little pain and fuss as possible for her.

Neither options sound like fun, they are going to remove the wire mesh from her stomach. The shorter option they are hoping to come "up and under" her stomach. The long version I got the impression they open up her stomach completely.
