I have started to feel more like a human being again. Each day feels a little more like we're doing more than just surviving. Breastfeeding still going awesomely. I have been cooking. The house has been cleanish. Food is being prepared and children loved. It's all good.

I have been on a bit of a curry bent lately, making Barbara's "A Nice Beef Curry" which is awesome after a few days freezing. It was good after the long slow cooking, but awesome last night. Plus I also tackled making a jalfrezi. It was very loosely based on Barbara's Jalfrezi, which is on the same page, but I skipped the mangoes.

I also made a dahl, which I was not in love with, but it is the first time I have made a dahl, and I am starting to get a handle on Indian food so I can tweak it.

We made chocolate cake as a family, I am sure you all know. :-)

And tonight I made coq au vin. It's come out beautifully. The sauce is so good I want to just drink it up, or eat it with crusty bread. Mmmmm.
:-)

Vinnie has been sick and on antibiotics, but his appetite is back again, which is great.  We've also had some fantastic meals from our friends.
;-)

Well done. I am always in awe of mothers, especially new ones. Even more so now we have a puppy and I am suffering probably what is a 1/10 of the sleep deprivation you guys all have! Curries are great comfort food, I have a simple mushroom curry that is very easy to make and tastes great.

I love to share them:
1 brown onion
2 garlic cloves
bunch fresh coriander
1 tbsp balti/rogan josh paste
2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
500g mushies
natural yoghurt to serve

Cook onion. Add garlic, coriander, curry paste. Cook for 1 min. Add tomatoes and mushies. Bring to boil and reduce heat, cook uncovered for 25 mins or until thick.

Hardly gourmet but great for a quick dinner!
