Songmaster! It's just so fabulous!

There was an excerpt in one of my english texts in year 10? I thought it looked good, so I chased around for it - I think it took me until uni... it was one of the standards I would look for at libraries and second-hand bookshops never really expecting to find it. But Murdoch had it (thanks Grant:-) ) And I read it, and I loved it...

I went on to read a lot of other OSC, some good, some not so good, but Songmaster is still my favourite:-)

Fe (I've been wondering what I'll read next - I should check if I have a copy, I think I do...)

I like OSC, he has a unique view of the world. I loved Enders Game, and all those books, each one of that series was uniquely interesting. Hart's Hope was also very interesting, and perhaps an introduction to "more adult" scifi/fantasy in the story itself. I have all sorts of OSC books, I can't remember them! I hate the cover they did for Songmaster when it was in paper back - every time I look at it I get all twicthy because I want to rip it off and burn it! The hard cover my highschool had was much better, and that's one of the books on my list of "Stuff I want to Steal from School." :-)

If you need to borrow a copy, I'd like to arrange a visit anyway and steal back all my coloured ribbons *grin* and see Aeryn again :-)
Now I'm unemployed for a couple of weeks...

Hi Callistra. This was something I created at my journal. I don't see it at smofbabe's, so I'm not sure how you snagged it from her, but I'm happy to see it spreading.

I think SongMaster is the best thing Card ever wrote! Good call, it's overshadowed by his series.

Wow, the chain continues

If you want me to take this down let me know! I thought it was just another of the LJ memes that go around and come around!
:-)

I'll change the links above to lead to you instead of smofbabe then.

My gosh, this is all over LJ now! Clearly, it's not really mine any more; memes have a life of their own. As it is I'm amused to see how it's caught on, and I love reading the answers so I'm sort of following it all around. By all means keep it up on your site, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ahh you like a Gor book (if indeed it is what I'm thinking it is), no matter what anyone says! I applaud! I'm not into the Gor ways at all, but I know an old acquaintance who was..ugh is all I can say to him! =P

They are a bit of a head fuck *grin* I love my Gor. It's like a romance novel in that the girl and guy always get together in the end *grin*
