callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Default)

Ok, so I'm at this temping job, and today I got inducted. GLS (MD and owner) says "Ooo, and can I have a copy of your resume." I'm like, I spose, it's about 5 years out of date though... and he says brightly "Well, you'll have to update it very soon anyway!" to which I kinda shook my head and he looked stunned and said "You mean... you're not looking..." and I kind of said "um... no, not really, um, I spose I need to update it eventually anyway..." so I'm HOPING he realises that no, I'm NOT looking. He is really really sweet, and the people there seem cool, and the atmosphere is relaxed.... but no, *I don't want a job.* Thank you.

I was watching the subtle signals and wondering if I should have a little outright chat with him, but that should be enough to give him the message. Shouldn't it? and do I really need to learn how to use the entire office system including creating of tasks so people can bill their timesheets to me really?? *grin*

But I am enjoying bussling around the office, doing the occassional data entry for MG and going out for mail and lunches. I was kind of scared when I got given a key, the mail key, *and* the building pass to QV1. :-)

Anyway, as a reward for the first three people who read this far down, would you like a GMail account? If you do, let me know. I need to have an email address I can email the invite to though!

*puts up hand* whats GMail ?
Why I love my Gmail

1) It organizes emails by conversations. Each conversation has a number next to it indicating how many emails are in the comversation.

2) You archive stuff on their servers, you get a GB. When a new email comes in which is related to an archived email, it takes that email and puts it back to your inbox. So you never lose track of the conversation.

3) Every one gets a different colour header in the conversations, so it's easy to see the different people. I like colour.

It's very well organized, and instead of filtering, you label things and then archive them. And you can search your own mailfile with the full power of google search. You can have one conversation with 15 labels if you wanted.
:-)

*hugs*
I hear you're feeling better? No more beating up xanthi in showers? *grin*

bad points:
1) They will delete things but cannot guarantee that it is properly and fully deleted off of ALL their servers. (Just like a real ISP except more honest about it if you ask me.)

2) A slight bug with replying to emails with caps sensitive addresses.

Um.. easily addictive?
