callistra | Two thousand words a day

Except for when I am slack, busy, or just don't know what to write next. So here I am pouring out my writerly woes. Can I blame Sarah, for being out of the state? I haven't had this problem before!

Well, not recently I guess. My characters are milling around waiting for me to get some action going for them. I'm not surprised. I'm sure that if they have one more lunch or dinner party they will burst. There seems to be a lot of sitting around and talking, so I'm going to have to fix that in a later re-write. But then, I think this is a girls book, so there *is* a lot of sitting around and talking. If they ran off to have a fight or something my lead will just die and never speak to any one ever again and stop working until her workplace gets her off planet. I can see the future. It's just being a bum to write.

I don't want to start working on any other projects until this one is finished, but starting even a paragraph later is not working. I can't write any of the scenes that interest me until we're at the right point for them.

Instead, I shall eat cherries, and suck down soem coke, and you know? I like cherry coke. :-) I did when it was on sale and I like it even more with real cherries. Maybe I should buy some cherry flavouring. Anyway, enough whining. I need to plot more about the next paragraph. Try and remember what it is about and what it was doing.
