I like Wednesday nights. usually Chesh goes off and does his thing, and I get some quiet time all alone. I've been a bit at a loss since all my projects wrapped up in the same week, and now I suddenly have shedloads of spare time. I've done a lot of reading though...
:-)
I've been working myself up a bit about some of the next projects, but I think I have found the right thread to yank on. Thanks to my support team, hee! Poor dears have to put up with me being all whiny and needy. I've now got a plan and things are not as bad as I thought they were. Yay!!
Tonight I made a facial scrub, also from Feeding Your Skin, with 2 teaspoons of finely ground oats, 1 teaspoon of crushed strawberry, and a half a teaspoon of natural yoghurt, and also did the weekly conditioner thing with a commercial colourless henna wax deep conditioner. I think I prefer the way the hair mayo went for weekly fun, so I might make some more in the next few days - or next wednesday.
Hair Mayo - the hair mayo was pretty lovely, actually. I washed my hair, and then stuck it in instead of conditioner, and remembered to wash with tepid (not hot!) water so the egg didn't cook when used. My hair came up really soft and lovely for a few days, so I really like that one.
Strawberry yoghurt oat scrub - feeling good! My skin feels nice and plump to touch. I should probably use some moisturiser, but I haven't made any LOL
I am thinking of investing in some of the clays and beeswax and stuff, but right now I am enjoying just raiding the fridge and pantry for beauty stuff. This is fun! What a great hobby! I have fantasies of going away for a weekend for a girly weekend with a spa and champagne and making up beauty stuff on the spot for us all to lay around in... heaps of fun!
The house is surprisingly clean. I put a lot of effort into getting it up to scratch, and it really shows. Chasing the kids around and cleaning five million times a day does that though, I guess. No wonder I prefer writing novels. Far more interesting. I think I miss the focus of it, you know? Today we made playdough, cornflake biscuits, lunch, jigsaws, trains, lego, and V helped make Lasagne. Awesome cakes! I think i wore him out! He even napped!
Anyway, I am very tired now. And if I am unlucky, I have a 5:00 am wakeup tomorrow. Poo.
