1) Do you have a moment in time that you look back on as a defining moment and know that your life would have been very different if you had made a different choice to what you did? What is it? I wanted to marry a man who, when I look back, was clearly unsuitable. If things had worked out the way I expected them to, I think I would have had three children, never gone to university or lived in another suburb, and be in a life which would crush and confuse me. I am glad it didn't work out. He's currently in jail. I expected to marry him or something like when i was about 15 - 16ish, and for a long time I have been puzzled as to why we never even made out.

2) Do you have a motto/mantra/saying that you try to live by? Again, what is it? I try to live my life as much as I can, while protecting the thoughts and feelings of my loves as much as possible. When you truly respect your Self, then anything You do is Respectable. (as in; when you know who you are, and take care of your self, and work on your relationship with yourself as much as other people, then you are in control.)

3) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would love to spend a year or so living in Japan or Malaysia. Anywhere that I am Other and unable to speak the language well. I want to be made uncomfortable for a spell, and see what this brings me. If it was a permanent move, then um.... I kind of like it here.... :-)

4) What is the next big thing on your life 'To do' list? I'm not talking grocery shopping either. This is about achievements and big plans.

February: Look into the Void. February is dedicated to looking into the worst aspects of my writing and beginning to work on them. I am dreading this, but I have to do it if I want to sell novels for any sort of income. March will be looking hard at whether I want to go to uni or not to further my creative writing career, and whether to just struggle along at my own pace. These are the immediate big plans. Longer big plans involve boring stuff like paying off the house loan etc, and getting to Worldcon in a timely fashion. I also want to travel more. I'll be trying to fit that in after 2011. With the kids being so small, it's a bit difficult to plan too far ahead yet. :-)

5) Outside of your children, what do you consider the biggest achievement in your life? I won a Mumfan, and was conpletely stunned and amazed when it happened. I won a tin duck for my writing. I ran a Gothic Ball at the Church Resturaunt. I wrote 5 novels in 2 years. Writing almost 400, 000 words in a year when I'm a terrible author. :-) Living life to the fullest!
