Today appears to be goal setting day.
It's five weeks and two days until I have my gallbladder removed.
it's six weeks and three days until I have to have my manuscript for reading, preferably without it being eye sporkingly bad.
One of these will happen the regardless. The other is going to take a LOT of work.
The MSS has 401 pages still. I need to average 66 pages a week to get this done once over.
I want to average higher than that, as I don't know if the operation will leave me vague for a few days.
At present it's taking me a full day of edits to go over the first 26 pages, and edit them *again* and again. And I have yet more work for those 26 pages... Maybe I need a ticker.
I think I am aiming too high. Right now, I need to get some of it shiny, and hope the full on crit we do later this year will help me sort out some of the issues I am having right now. I've already lowered the bar once, now I'm about to lower it again. This does not feel good.
