Hi and welcome!
I've finally submitted to the inevitable and got my own blog. I am sure every one I know will be dying to read the hot goss and whatever the hell they think I will be posting. *grin*
I'm here because of the unrelenting pressure from Splanky and Mynxii to get myself here. Well, here I am! Do I let them know, or just tease them for a few weeks?? *giggle*
I find myself highly amused at the mere suggestion that any one would find anything I have to say of interest. I find it even weirder that I, and so many other people, have chosen to do this in a forum that is open to most of the world - and/or just their friends. I wonder at what sort of honesty we think we provide when we blog, because nothing I post here can be the whole story. Even if I tell stories using random letters are people's names, friends can tell who I will be talking about. So how can I be so truly honest when I know I have an audience of interested observers?
However it is a document worth examining to see our own constructs within the framework of a public platform. I wonder what I will say, and I wonder where this journal will take me?
I had an ex, now called "The Liberal" who was a mind-screw all on his own, and when he figured out I had a Book of Secrets it drove him crazy wanting to read it. I don't understand this curiosity for someone else's secrets in that manner, and besides, Books of Secrets are usually in code from men - things written in emotional terms. *evil grin AND a raised eyebrow*
I think reading blogs seems to make the voyeur in myself happy. I like to check in on my friends and see what they are up to, and what they are doing, and how they are going. And in joining and creating my own blog, I have basically bought into the agreement that everything we post is tainted by our decisions on what to include and what not to include based around our potential readership. So here I am, basically lying like every one else, but with the urge to share it. Yay me!
I like the idea of blogging, because it also means I will have some sort of a record of moods, ideas, whims and etc. I think my next post, I shall think about Naming and Names, and explaining where Callistra, Callisto, and Callisto Shampoo come from.
