General Chatting and Thoughts - updated

1) I have sawn my nails off. I was hoping to do it in front of some one so I could watch them weep, especially someone who chews their nails and couldn't grow them to save their lives, but you get that. (They were so long that even *I* thought they were starting to look silly.) It feels weird to actually feel the keyboard again. Apart from that, I hurt myself less with them. :-)

2) Yesterday I drank almost a litre of water, and then threw it all up. Then I drank some more and we went and had my ultrasound. And some blood taken too. Things seem to be going well so far! We even got to see little fingers, and my baby seems to have a pogo stick or bungee cord in there, bouncey bouncey bouncey bouncey. We spent about 40 minutes with the dr trying to get a photo of his/her back. :-) The actual photo is much easier to see than the webpage.

3) Chesh came home for lunch today, and as an off the cuff suggestion I suggested we turn the TV on and make fun of whatever was on while we at lunch. Chesh turned the TV on, and discovered GODZILLA!!!!!!!! W00t! Poor Chesh had to go back to work. I, however, go to watch Godzirra in all his glory, along with King Ghidora! RRrrrrarrrrrr! Grrrrr! Zort! Way cool.

4) Ooo, I forgot to add this one... I have read the first four of the Anita Blake series.... in two and a half days.... they are better than Windwaker after a hundred or so hours of it.... :-) They're Ok, I haven't gotten annoyed at them yet. *grin* But this chickie REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY needs a bonk. Like, SERIOUSLY.

Drinking Water

I had exactly the same experience with each of the first two u/s I had. The third time I decided I would drink as much water as I could, but if I didn't quite get there, I wasn't going to force the last bit down... Much more pleasant (still uncomfortably full, but given I was 36 weeks or something, that was pretty much par for the course).

They didn't seem to have *any* problems looking for things; last time (several years ago) they seemed to have much more trouble, and I'd drunk MUCH more water and was asking desperate questions like "Have you ever had any one wee on you accidentally?" This time, they didn't even ask if I'd drunk all the water I was supposed to.

I have to admit my nails often get freakishly long too. I'm probably due a trim but eh..I like having talons ;)
