I voted for the second poll option, but I do find the phrase "confirm an engagement" a little ambiguous. Was there an incident that provoked this entry?
Yeah, a friend who doesn't read my blog said he would "check and confirm" and then I never heard from him again. Then it turns out he rang my mobile about 2 hours before the night started to see what was going on, except my mobile was not turned on. So he really missed out!! ;-)
oops. 2 hours is cutting it a little fine, though I suspect I've done the same myself when the venue's been definite and the gathering one where the numbers are not particularly critical.
