Kind of feeling sick and emotional. Could be cos we haven't eaten anything since about 8:30 last night. baby won't be liking that! But just feel like crying. I tell you, emails about housework could do that to anyone though!!
Yeah, it was cool. It was more in the tradition of the first four books rather than the whiney bitch slapping-required last book. I think the comments about it being badly edited, over long, etc are slightly true-ish, but really, those comments are FAR more applicable to number 5.
Oh, and gee, Harry's het. (Wot a surprise.) (heh, I'm just picking on Cait now.) And wtf?? people were making all this stuff over big betrayals and stuff, and I'm like... well, maybe I just didn't have enough emotional investment? *shrug*
I'll read and enjoy the next one, no problems there. I enjoyed this one too. But I think that the most fascinating part I'm finding about this book is the fans and slashers response to it. Somewhere along the way, they seem to have started thinking that they own the characters, and have bcome a less accepting, and more vocal denouncers when things don't go the way they expect it too. (No, I'm not picking on Cait any more. *grin* Just sort of noting the tornados on my friends lists.)
I'm kind of looking forward to the last one. It would be nice to have it all wrapped up. I'm impressed that she managed to find enough plot elements to go for seven novels, when I guess it's probably easier to use the same characters with different plots rather than create seven individual novels with different lead characters and the plots JK Rowling has used. That probably didn't make sense, did it? :-) Ah well. Maybe I'll try again later. My head's not working right still, and I just want to go and cry but my head hasn't found an *excuse* yet. (No, I'm fine. I'm not angsty. I'm not miserable. I'm not unhappy. It's just that my tear ducts seem to want to start working.) I had another point to make but I can't remember where I left it.
(checks under cat.)
Nope. No idea.
There was more I was going to say about life in general but I can't remember what it was. Or even what it was about. *sigh* And I think Chesh is home for lunch. Good. He can cook me a sandwich.
*grin*
