I have work again! Yay! I like work. I am number crunching assets. Cool.
:-)

My job is on Seek.com. Weird. Kind of ...weird. Displacing, I guess. I mean, I expected them to have to find someone else to do my job, but I didn't expect to find out about it. They found SP's job on seek a few days ago, mine's only been up since yesterday yet. It's very weird. I was expecting to have to train someone else up, but maybe I kind of thought it would be someone the other company had already hired?

Mind you, all this asset crunching I am doing is because a huge part of my job role will be coming to an end in some ways - purchasing and asset control. However, I guess some of that (asset control) will still be there for the new person. I hope they pick someone nice, because otherwise my next few months could be quite dismal. I also hope they pick someone intelligent, otherwise I am going to strangle them pretty fast. Most of the mods to my server will hold up though, so I guess they won't need to learn my server inside out like I do. They shouldn't need to change anything. Omygod, what if they start coming to the usergroup?? Eeeeek! Who are they?? Who am I?? Eekk!

It felt very strange to see my job on the web. KS reckons it's part her job too, but I disagree, since it's what my job was when I applied for it, before we got given job descriptions. When we got job descriptions, I was impressed, since it dropped half my title (originally I was Helpdesk Officer/Level One Support) and made the job sound simple. But one of the duties listed is now her job. One out of everything they listed.

So... displaced calli. I had a momentary panic about have I chosen right? What am I doing? Did I make the wrong decision? Do I like money as much as I think I do right now?? (Watch out Sydney, here we come! And Adelaide. And Melbourne...) But I can always do contract work if I need more money. I am sure of it. :-)

I think I am over it now. I have dispersed my worried into the rest of you *giggle* so back to work for me.

I'm reading a silly romance novel by Sandra Hill. I prefer her Vikings in Vikings times ones, but this is one of her Vikings brought to the 21st century ones. It's amusing - I like her men, they're so cute and arrogant and everything I like in my men. *grin* Actually, I got all excited over getting cheap ones by her and Christina Dodd for as little as 50c USD, but then it turns out they are all from re-sellers, and as yet I have not yet found a way to discover how to see all books sold from one seller at a time. For what i wanted, for 10 books, it came to about $7.50 USD for the books, and close to $50 USD for the postage because there were so many re-sellers.

I'll have another poke around later, apparently my Shocking Cart list will last 75 days or something, which is good, but if I can't find a way to see what each re-seller is selling, then I will be very disappointed. I might even send them an email about it!!

Friday morning I dumped the flour, yeast and water into the bread machine and timed it so that the bread dough would be ready when I got home. I timed it to 5:30, and just had to make sure I got home fast enough that it didn't rise to ridiculous levels if I was late!

So I grabbed Chesh in a hurry, unfortunately too fast to stop and have a look at his new bike, which is apparently pretty snazzy. And, I got home, and there was about 5 minutes left on the bread machine. Yay!

So, I pulled it all out, punched it a bit, and then rolled it and rolled it and rolled it again!

Breaddy Doughy Things!

WE got home at 5:30, and I had to be in Belmont, with bread, byt 7. It takes about 20 minutes to drive there. Plus I needed to have a shower and etc. We were a tad rushed!!

But look!

Baked Breaddy Doughy Things!

Perfect!
