The 49th National SF Convention is going to be Dudcon III, held in conjunction with Aussiecon 4, the 2010 Worldcon. There will be a single programming stream - namely a business meeting and a Ditmars award ceremony. Membership of Dudcon 3 entitles you to vote in the 2010 Ditmars. The trophy, pictured on Cat's LJ, has been designed and costed. There are varying grades of membership available. If you have even half an interest in such matters, why not sling them a few bucks? Chesh and I have joined! You have a variety of membership options, and I am currently a proud 'Cheap Skate Member' (memberships can be upgraded at any time apparently!) PLUS! (Yes, wait, there's more!) If you'd like to be a GoH at this con, all you have to do is send Paul Ewins a bucketload of money, and whoever gives him the biggest bucket gets to be GoH! You don't get anything other than a badge just like every one else's, but your name will be on every one' lips!

Moral Delimmas

I have a quarter of a bottle of Karo Dark Syrup. I have been searching for a recipe to use it up, as my frugal instincts insist it should be used, but the more recipes I read, the more my healthy instincts freak out. Why the fuck would you add a cup of sugar to a cup of Karo anyway?? 

I'm thinking I bin this one, or else start making gingerbread with Karo substituting golden syrup.
