Goodbye 2011! What a funny little year you have been.
I didn't blog much in 2011 on LJ or DW. Given what some years have been like, there's really not much there at all. Having said that, I'll try and remember some of the stuff from this year that might be worth putting together in a single post. :)
Jan
I started the year with an operation, with keyhole surgery to place mesh over a hernia in the front of my stomach. I remember this came after about three months of various stomach problems, sicknesses and other general unhealth that meant the end of 2009 was very hard work. Then it took about ten weeks to recover from the op. Plus the people who did our french doors were being absolute dickheads. :(
Feb
Vin started real school (pre-primary) at Westfield Park. Five days a week! SCORE! :) There was a fire in my suburb that got wayyyy too close to home.
March
Vin had his tonsils, adenoids and grommets done, and then a week or so later we ran into some problems with a bleed. Scariest three days in a hospital for me ever. (Warning, that post could be upsetting)
I spend a lot of the next few months sick, burnt out, or creatively charged. Eventually I had a car accident and then got very miserable until I headed to San Fransisco and San Diego with Carol. I also started a diet which I was really happy with, but I got so sick 3 weeks before I left that I started to eat sugar, wheat and processed foods again, and since I was planning on eating everything I wanted in the US as well, I gave up on the diet for a while. I lost abut ten kilos, but have since put on a couple of those. I haven't done a final weigh in this year yet, but I think I have lost about 8 kilos.
The holiday was awesome. I posted quite a lot in those two weeks. Like, lots and lots. And lots and lots! Oh, and the four part continuous post because the iPad had some weird limit on characters. Huh! WFC2011 was exactly what I needed.
I started Nano while sitting in the NZ airport. :) And I finished it, too, in the 30 days. Then we hit party season... or rather party season hit us. I started to buy and read books. I haven't felt free to do this in years, as the kids just took up so much time, I didn't get blocks of time for reading like I like. Now they are a bit older, I do! I have been reviewing books over at Egoboo.
I have put a lot of energy into Egoboo this year, and started work on Saucy Sisters too. I'm blogging outside of DW and LJ and tend to keep the more personal stuff for here. I think I also have less interest in blogging personal stuff. *shrug*
