Tomorrow would have been the last day at PBFoods

Tomorrow we lose the rest of the staff that chose not to transition. It's officially my last day too. It gets hard to describe. I know SP has already been bawling her eyes out - I'm not surprised, if I was treated like this after 19 years, I'd be bawling my eyes out too. Even if I *wasn't* treated like this I'd still be bawling my eyes out after 19 years. I'm going to miss SP. I'm also going to miss PJ. He is flying home to see his wife again (they've been in different countries since the honeymoon ended) on Saturday morning! Talk about in a hurry - but at the same time, good on him, that's what I would have done. Except for the letting spouse out of sight after honeymoon bit, I should say. I'll still be there even after some of the people who did take up their offers leave too. Weird.

*sigh*

Been busy at work for a change. Been doing training on a software system that hurts to even think about. TF thinks it's a million years old, and I was impressed - the trainer wasn't in tears in the end, and TF was ... being ... reasonably gentle with her... for him that is. :-)

I think I want to go to the pub for lunch tomorrow. It will be too depressing to stay at work, and would only lead to more tears. It's taken a long time to get to know SP, and she's delightful and fun, and I've got very little chance of ever seeing her again. I don't even know if I have signed her card.

*more sighing*

I think I will go and mope in a corner now.

I'm thinking of you hon... hoping that the day passes with lots of tears and memories and enough alcohol to make you all laugh...
