I just chopped five carrots, two onions, two ribs of celery, bacon, and a half a large turnip into 4mm bits and have started cooking them with finely chopped bacon and a lamb shank.

I love chopping vegies. *happy sigh*

My first mother's day was great! I had a fantastic time! I got a card and a pressie from Vinnie, I am going to take a photo and post it, there's a gorgeous hand print in there. Apparently vinnie giggled and chortled the whole time daddy was drawing on his hand for it *so cuuuuuute* and we went to Ramon's for lunch, which was lovely. I had salmon, which was brilliant, and John said his surf and turf was really, really, good! Yay! John did all the cleaning of the kitchen yesterday, AND let me sleep. I had two naps yesterday! Wooooo!

Isn't it weird and wonderful to actually *be* the mummy?

I'm so not over Mothers Day yet - this was my second. I actually got teary when Raeli brought me a card - she held it herself! Mind you, she didn't want to let go of it...

I got my first round of hand chosen presents from my eldest, and many wishes of Happy Mother's Day from her, like it's something you forget every 5 minutes!

I do like the picture though, need to hang it up somewhere:)

Glad it's not just vinnie that's so active! I was hoping this baby massage talk would help out in trying to help get some quiet time with him once in a blue moon - if he's awake, he doesn't want to bond, he wants to run off and play!!
