callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Minifesto)
For fuck's sake I wish my period would just COME!

I feel all frustrated and ARRRRRGGGGHHHH! Annoying people on feminist lists prancing around going "I want to become a bishop's wife" and then "Oh, if I can't do that, I want to become a monk's wife; I sang next to one today!" and then "Can any one tell me about some obscure Goddess that I'm about to email the entire world asking about?" this chick is fucking INSANE.

Oh, did I mention the frustration and hormal feeling? My tummy feels like I'm going to have a period, but Ihaven't had once since the D and C. I had a day orf bleeding, which MAY have been a mini-period, but it was only for a couple of hours, not a day.

EEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRGGGG1 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!

I guess part of the frustration is that I have done no prep for Friday yet. I can't even go down and buy ingredients due to a lack of wheels. And if I wanted to go for a walk, I'd have to rug up so much I'd be rolling there, and that would make carrying vegies home difficult. Especially if I was rolling a pram covered in blankets with me.

*sigh*

and Vinnie keeps getting into John's cabling. And it's only 8:43. LOL. He has just turned John's pc on.

I'd better go and start listing the recipes I want to do for Friday, and making a shopping list, and see if there's anything I can make already. If not, then we might just be having a fine selection of casseroles rather than curries specifically.

Time for some Mollyguards.

Pity Vinnie will probably work out how to get into them in minutes...

Want the car this arvo?

Poor thing :(

I just skip the sugar pills and have a period about once every 8 months :)

My periods are manageable while on the pill, but when off them they're god-damnned awful due to endometriosis. I have enough to deal with, with my back, so I just ignore it!

I've never had any PMT, whether emotional or physical, pain just starts once the bleeding starts. No emotional stuff during either, just cravings sometimes (eg for bread).

You need a remote control pram so you can get into it too :)

I did some reading on endimetriosis, that's nasty You have my sympathy!

I'm usually fine; since I sorted out a lot of the problems that were giving me period pain, but yeah, since this will be the first period since the miscarriage, I am expecting it might be debilitating and messy. I'd really prefer it to happen NOW rather than in 2 weeks when I'm in a different city!! When everything is working, it's fantastic. I miss my periods. :-)

I haven't been on the pill for a very long time. I wonder if it is a whole decade yet? I can't remember...

I love the idea of a remote control pram! I'm so lazy!!

Thanks :(
It's a weird one - you can have it very minimally but have a lot of pain (as I did for my first two laparoscopies), or have a lot of it and no pain, and even have it cause fertility problems.

My third lap was nasty, she burnt a lot of it out. But she did say that my ovaries and fallopian tubes looked absolutely fine.

I'd better not have fertility issues, by the time I start trying, I won't have time to waste! (I'm 36)

I'm sorry about your miscarriage. I'm sure your body has a bit of sorting out to do, even with the D&C.

36 seems to be prime time for trying to conceive these days.
;-)

Good luck in that, kids are such a joy.

And good that they could so something for your endimetriosis. The reading I did sort of implied it was just hopeless and you just had to deal. :-(

It might be debilitating and messy, but it's not a given. I was warned and expecting the worst at the start of the year, but then my period was all as normal. Quite a relief:-)

I should have added, not that I ended up having a D&C (quite relieved about that given the timing:-( ), I don't know if that has an effect...

geek-in-training ;)

*hugs*

(ps - KitchenAid mixers are only $350 here! I feel like buying one and lugging it home!)

I lugged Kenwood bits across australia in my hand luggage. No one even asked me what was going on there!

KitchenAids are apparently pretty good! and is that AUD? I wonder what the postage would be like!!

Date: 2006-07-25 01:04 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] caitlen.livejournal.com
No - no postage, I'd just buy it in Toront, lug it to Ireland, and either store it in a storage box at the airport or (and I'm planning to do this as soon as I find someone, otherwise my back is not going to survive this trip) chuck it on a travel trolley & take it to my friends place where I'm staying, leave it there, take it to London, seriously find somewhere to store it, take it to Singapore, where Mum and I will squee completely out over it, take it out of the box, put it together, admire it, and disassemble it, and take it on the place home.

*snicker*

WOW!! No one questioned all the metal pieces in your luggage!!??! NICE!!

I joined that feminist list just to check it out - it appears to be an unmitigated disaster area. You forgot to mention the hateful spew about "latent" homosexuality and the constant pointless narcissistic wibbling. The various feminist comms on LJ have a much higher signal-noise ratio (and sanity factor).

LOL
The worst thing is that the main culprit, Olympiada or whatever her name is, has only joined the groups about a week and a halfd ago and it's just gone to shit since. And now her "arch nemesis" al green has joined too...

*sigh*

Aha, we must have joined about the same time, then. Hopefully they'll implode soon. She's already started flouncing around about the moderation warning (along with today's incoherent screeds on exploring BDSM and evangelising gay sinners into the Orthodox fold). The personality of her online identity is in complete chaos. I hope it doesn't reflect her real personality, or if so, that she gets therapy RSN.

I've never quite understood why mods give out warnings before putting someone like that on moderated status. What's the point? It's not a punishment of an individual, it's a way of maintaining the group's integrity. Just do it already.

I respect mods who use their authority when needed more than ones who just seem to sit around and let trolls run riot. I think that Audrie is very lenient, and some of the guys on that list don't realise they are sometimes trolling.

I wish she'd stop replying to *everything* with her negative, inconsistent, evangelical sh*t. Even David has stopped replying to *everything*. I think. Or at least he was less annoying!
