:-(
Vinnie had another febrile convulsion today. We were at southlands shopping centre and ended up being taken to fremantle.

Otherwise, a lovely day.
I've had two drinks, and some food (it happened just as I was heading for my third bite of lunch) so now I just feel exhausted and numb.

Also, I did buy something for the sun garden :-)
I bought some glass pebbles to set into the concrete.

I'm sorry about the convulsions but they seem to be getting more manageable?

Actually, yes. It affected him for less time, it took over his whole body less (as in he cried the whole time instead of just going completely silent and stiff) and he didn't stiffen up as much. He did come back to normal faster than previously too.

So I'd say that's a step for the better, definately.

Ooo, I have been planning your return artwork by the way. Don't expect it in a hurry but I have some ideas I am working on, and I'm all excited and felt like sharing the excitement!

convulsions

Please don't be too spooked by febrile convulsions! And don't be conned into medication, without careful evaluation and thought. Both my older kids had them, and they are normal (?well!!!) now!
My youngest, who is brain damaged, had years of convulsions, always febrile, there is a managment system you can use, that doesn't require permanant medication.
I was alway cautious about increasing the insult to his already compromised brain, by using medication that deaadened his responses.
The vindication is that he grew out of the convulsions at puberty, and hasn't had one in 15 years.
Good luck, and I can tell you more, if you want.

Oh hon! I'm so sorry that this happened again, but glad that Vinnie handled it better and wasn't so sick with it - also, hoping you're doing okay!

Yay for sungarden things!! I think the glass pebbles will look awesome!

How's Vinnie doing now? And you?

I can't imagine anything more heart-breaking than watching your child in pain or in distress, even if you know what it is, and that it will stop and it was better than last time.

*double hugs and lots of positive thoughts*

Oh hon, I hope you are both ok now. It must be so hard on you both for you emotionally and for him emotionally and physically. I am glad he is dealing with them better though. let me know if there is anything I can do *hugs*

Thank you, I'd appreciate that.

My email address is callisto at g mail dot com. Minus a few spaces and etc.

Vinnie had another one that night so we've been in hospital under observation for a few days. I'm just completely shattered right now, exhausted. But we're all OK now.
