My wants for today! I want (and some of you will recognize this) you all to show your self love by going through your house and THROWING OUT 27 ITEMS. It can be 27 dirty tissues, or 27 cotton buds, it could be 27 different items, but I want you to grab a plastic bag, fill it with your items to be thrown out, and then tie off the bag and go outside and put it in your bin. But here's the kicker... This is *after* all your normal housework is done.

Then, I want you to find your partner, housemate, children, pets, whatever, and tell them in as much detail as you can, how you went around and selected all this stuff and threw it out. Be proud of yourself! Since this is above and beyond your normal housework, you may have to look harder to find 27 things to throw out! But this is good, because it means you are making a dent on clutter!

Ok... I started doing this last night. (No, I'm not making this up: I started doing this last night because I'm following babalon_93's example of shedding 10 possessions every Saturday).

My local Video Ezy is collecting books at the moment for the Lifeline Canberra Bookfair [each year the Bookfair recycles up to 1 million books], and last night I was supposed to catch up with a friend, but she was running late, so I started culling my bookcases while I was waiting for her. (She ended up not making it because she was running so late, but that was okay because I got heaps done and because she had good reasons).

Then, this morning, before your blog went up, I did a little more book culling.

23 books, magazines, etc. ready to go to Video Ezy for Lifeline.

I suppose that means I need to find four more things, heh. (:

I have a box of books I was going to take to Elizabeth's to try and get some money for them, but now I am thinking it might be more worthwhile releasing them into the wild (http://www.bookcrossing.com/).

Hm, I just gave away 27 x $2 to the local nursery to buy a Lemon Tree, and some (rather a lot) of strawberry plants.

Knowing my luck I probably killed the plants getting them into the ground, so the money has been thrown away. :)

You may find this amusing..

When I receive my flylady emails I tend to delete all but the mission for the day. I read them and then consider if I feel that I can achieve what was asked. I usually don't :)

But you must have some power that flylady doesn't have as when you say "do this thing" I feel motivated to do it. Okay, I haven't actually done a 27 fling boogie but that's only because I feel like death warmed up. But, the important thing is, I *want* to do it *grin*

I win at this! My Mum took Raeli to the beach while we unpacked boxes from when we moved nearly two years ago. A boxload of old VHS tapes went, plus a whole load of other stuff... we're renting a trailer on Thursday. :)

I took 5 bags of assorted clothes and stuff to the salvos last week, plus 3 bags of VHS tapes, gave away an icecream maker and a wine chiller, and sent 3 bags of clothes to the women's refuge.


I can cull!

(house goes on the market soon and trying to make it look non-messy and cluttered. Wish me luck!)
