Well, lots of people had lots of success with their 27 Thing Fling, so now I want you all to do the opposite! I want you to bring BEAUTY into your home! But not a fleeting thing, not something that is gone in five seconds, I want you to bring a flower to your table, or hang a pretty scarf somewhere for a few days, or arrange your books into pillars of knowledge on a certain bookshelf... regardless, I want you to make something in your life that little bit more BEAUTIFUL for just a few days. And tell me about it. Nothing permanent though.
:-)

I'm printing out some of my photos.

I did throw out well over 27 things last week, just not on the designated day...

I am amused by the numbers of people who have also told me that *grin*

Here's what I'd already done this afternoon before reading your want: create 10 works of art, either for the Swancon art show, or just for me (I haven't decided yet). They are (anatomically correct) broken hearts, made of Japanese paper; photographs of a bushfire; whales swimming in water; bark; cliffs and the blue sea.

Here's what I did after reading your want: take all the books off five bookshelves, dust the bookshelves, and sort the books into nonfiction (which went back on the bookshelves) and fiction (which went elsewhere). In the process I identified 15 books/magazines that could go to the Lifeline Bookfair.

I'm not sure if this meets the parameters: but the art I made is beautiful (and it is currently spread out all over my desk, covering it), and the bookcase is more beautiful (and less stressful) than it was for being dusted and organised.

Not quite what you were after, but I just came across this (http://www.houseartjournal.blogspot.com/) site, which is all about making her house her art. It's rather new so there's not too much there.

OK...I brought all of Zac's school things yesterday and when I got home I labelled everything with his name and put all his pen's and penicls and textas in his pencil cases, shapened his lead pencils and so on and so forth. Now sitting on the table is a neat pile of stationary and scool supplies. To me that is a thing of beauty - the sad thing is it will only last for a few days LOL

I brought in some frangipanis and put into a glass. They're gone now, though:)
