We've just come from a nice lunch in the hills with a few glasses of wine for the girls. We managed to fit 5 of us into the tiniest car, it was smaller than the 121. I had to hold onto things so I could keep my awkward angle so I didn't crush Lil or Zac. :-) Zac is only 7, so he is small which is good cos he had to go behind Paul, who is about 6"7, and so he was driving and the seat was wayyyyyyyyy back.
The scenery around here is utterly fantastic, and beautiful. I have taken 10 million photos. We visited the maze and that was brilliant. It even managed to tire out Zac! He was silent during lunch, which is amazing. He's a very active noy. The mazes they had were cool, with lots of fun things to find and spot, and great displays and beautiful gardens. The first maze was what I would call a normal maze, which means it has 8" high walls and is made out of normal hedges, I guess. It was cool, wandering around and hearing your friends chattering and screaming and having fun. I particularly thought it would be great after a few glasses of wine, and with some sexy friends. Lots of running around in the dark being lost and found. I also thought Dragonchrome would really enjoy it too. There were a couple of the obligatory cries of "Mirandaaaaaaaaaaaa!" and the like. After that, we went back to Arthur's seat, and had lunch there. The food was nice, and the wine was nice, and I had the kahlua dark chocolate bread and butter pudding. Which was impressive. The veal parmiagiana was exactly that; a rather nice veal parmigania. *Shrug* It's just what i felt like, but not usually my normal cup of tea. The soupf du jour ran out, and so they made one - confit of duck and vegetables. Paul let me try some of his (Anthea's Paul that is, the 6"7' blonde Paul) and it was fanatastic. The fish of the day seemed pretty damned awesome too. It was nice. Also kind of reminded me of when we went down to Karri Valley resort. *sigh* happy memeories. :-)
Then we're here! I slep well last night, we put a quilt underneath me, between the air mattress and me, so I slept wonderfully warm and happy all night long. I was very very comfy, no problems sleeping at all this time. We watched Miss Congeniality last night, which is always cute. I hope there's some cute guys at this con. I kind of ..... well, I need some male attention..... :-) *sigh* Cheshire will be here on Wednesday! Yay! (*mental pounce*). I'm quite happy cruising at the moment, Lil is doing all the hardwork of thinking for me, I just bop along and have fun. :-) It's a nice way to holiday.
I'm not going to try and describe the scenery. I have a knack for boring photos because I like looking at trees. *grin* So yeah; it's green, hilly and there were lots of wineries but we only visited one and it was closed despite the open signs every where. Their loss; Anthea was determined to buy some alcohol because she has 20 Kilo more allowance in their luggae and she figures she may as well fill it with wine. Trees are nice. Zac likes trees. We stopped at Arthur's Cahri, and on the little concrete observation platform, you can see Melbourne across the water. I took some photos but I have no idea if they will work out. :-) Ah well. I have *lots* of photos. Lots and lots.
Anyway, should really go and do something else I guess. Lil has gone to get Pix from work, and they won't allow non-family on base, so I have been deserted. Wail! Angst!
I'm all depressed because no one has blogged recently! Ah well.
:-)
