Things that went wrong:
- I woke up feeling worse
- The power went out. No TV, no PC, no phone. It was the appliances circuit, so oven and lights were OK. But the things I depend on to keep Vinnie amused while I am too sick to do anything were gone. All gone.
- Went to drs for Vinnie. It was very hard work.
- Went to mobile phone. Failed to pass credit check as I am a SAHM and have no actual income. Suggested torching the place and running away. This did not happen.
- Tried to go to Mum's place to sit and watch TV
- Key failed
- Power still out
- No one else to ring for help.
- Vinnie only napped for an hour.
- Lighting shop was closed, and we need to buy lights for Monday.
- No Internet or Phone or TV
- Still sick and so tired and shakey I just wanted to lie down and die

Things that went right (between 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm)
- Bunnings was open
- Bunnings had the light Chesh wanted
- Bunnings had the plants I wanted
- Bunnings had Fathers Day stalls and games which were a lot of fun and Vinnie scored lolly bags, chocolate, and a little Bunnings dumptruck
- Bunnings had a free sausage sizzle.
- We found an open Lighting shop
- We found lights
- They were very cheap lights
- All lighting purchases are done! Yay! For around half the cost I was expecting! Yay!



Today has been much better. I'm shakey and exhausted but not stricken. Yay! I planted a few things. I swept the floor. I almost finished the kitchen. Now I am exhausted but unable to move from my chair. I hope I sleep well. It only took a couple of hours to get to sleep last night, so that was a good night's sleep. Hoping I can get to sleep faster tonight, and get more good sleep!

we keep an old phone in the drawer for when the power goes out. It doesn't need the power to run so has been handy when there is a blackout and I'm home alone and freaked out.

Sleep as best you can. I understand how lack of sleeps kills your ability to do anything (even if my reasons for lack of sleep are very different from yours).

I had my mobile but it is old and the batteries are kind of flakey. My attempts to get a new one failed...

I was thinking later on that night, I should have told them I earn 50% of John's income. They didn't ask for payslips or anything.

I did tell them I earnt about $7K if we included FTBA and B but even then it wasn't enough "credit" for a crappy $500 phone. I could have bought the fucking thing outright.

Something similar happened to me when I tried to get a phone. Optus knocked me back on a $360 contract, so I had to walk into a store and buy a $360 phone. Go figure. Said phone is still available for the borrowing (again :P)...

yeah when we where getting my phone, joel told me that if we get me a laptop or something with a loan to just say i earn 50% of his income cause i have the better credit rating

also something that might cheer you up:
a lady in the Us as started making bento wraps and kits (work out at about $30 per kit with postage or less postage if a few people get a few things together). You may have seen her telling people on bento_lunch.. She does animals :)
