I'm alone. I'm all alone. Oh My Goodness! Alone! How weird. I really noticed it when I was having imaginary conversations in my head with Chesh. It was just a surprise to realise I couldn't run to the PC and ICQ him my inane little thought. Weird.
:-)

The Big V is alseep in his newly arranged bed. We've moved it so he can no longer reach the light or the door handle, so he can no longer turn the light on at 5 in the morning (like this morning) or open the door and get into the corridor. Where he will then lie on the floor next tro our bedroom door and talk to us through the catdoor we cut into it years ago. Cute, but annoying at any time in the morning before we-have-to-be-awake time. :-)

I also put a proper quilt on the bed. I came to the realisation that he no longer fits into a sleeping bag, which means he will have to wear PJs eventually, and it's time to move him into adult blankies instead of the smaller baby ones that he likes to sleep on top of. This also means he gets tucked in tightly. I'm wondering if this will also make the sleeping thing a bit easier in the mornings. I always fret that he is cold, but he never pulls the blankies over himself, so we've been relying on the sleeping bags and the heater in there. His hands always feel like ice though!

He also napped today, which is a WIN. I sat down and had a chat with his carers at daycare the other day, and it turns out the little horror is fantastic at sleep time - for them. They don't even need to pat him to sleep, they just put him on a cushion, put the sheet over him, and he's out like a light. It's been such a struggle this last week with his sleep patterns and his refusal to nap, so I am feeling much more positive after today's nap. Even if he did get off the bed for a wail, and then fall asleep on the rug in the middle of his carpet. I don't mind where he sleeps, as long as he has one. And even an hour is enough to make me happy.

He went down quite easily tonight. I thought it might be another struggle since the room is all changed around. He did have a wail, but he has been a tad scared of storms and rain since the last one, so I went in and sat with him. I tried to leave after about 3 minutes, but he got upset again, so I went back in immediately, and sat with him without saying anything, and he was asleep within 3 more minutes. It was kind of weird in the halflight, I couldn't quite see if his eyes were open or closed and it was quite creepy and scary. :-)

So, all alone. And what did I do? I caught up on Femmeconne paperwork, and emails, and cleaned the kitchen. I'm pretty damned happy with that. My tummy is huge and round and I am starting to have to work *around* it which is quite disconcerting at odd times. Despite the strange sleep last night - I took forever to get to sleep, then slept well-ish, and then woke up at 5 to listen to Vinnie and Chesh, and then actually got *out* of bed at 6:30ish, I seem to have come up well today. I even did Activities with vinnie. We sat down and drew with crayons. And later we went outside and fed treats to the cats. Girlcat will take each one from his hand, which gives him a huge kick, but Mummycat is a bit more hesitant - but also enthusiastic too. When she finally did try and take one from his hand, he nearly lost a few fingers too. Then he chased her around the hills hoist for a bit. This amused me no end. :-)

So, it has been an astonishingly productive day. I mean, the simple activities with Vinnie haven't been happening much, usually I just don't have the energy to even think of something to do, let alone get it organised and do it. And dishes? Kitchen? Usually only in the morning when my tummy muscles think they are strong still. Night time is when they admit that they're carrying extra weight. :-)

Only bad point was a phone call today...

"Hi, this is Dr Anna."
"Hi Dr Anna, you shouldn;t be calling me! This means there was a problem with that sugar test."
"Yes, there was. I want you to do the 2 hour one."
"Aww, Man!"
"I'll send you the form... or I can fax it... but I will be at a conference until Tuesday, so we'll check the results then."
"Conferences can be fun."
"Yeah, that's what I thought too!"

So now I have to do the 2 hour sugar test since the last one was inconclusive. Dammit. I have coming up: one two hour sugar test. One EEG for Vinnie which requires us to do things to his sleep patterns the night before. One specialist appointment to discuss EEG results. One more attempted roof install and electrickery man visit. Femmeconne. Friends in and out of Perth. Y'know, October is going to be completely quiet compared to this LOL. Ooo, and I need to send out info on Femmeconne to the special invitees.

Pixar's latest? Awesome!

It's brightened my day :)

Yay for productivity - and my gods the month sounds busy!!!!

Also, the two people that I am hoping to come to Femmeconne, are at the 3/4 'confirming they're free' stage. Once they've actually decided I'll talk to them about when they're able to make payment based on the information you've already posted.

I have heaps of stuff to catch up on that isn't work, and maybe... it will happen, but not tomorrow. Maybe Thursday.
