Yum Cha Friday - Welcome Home Willowgypsy!
Willowgypsy will be back in town, and I'm hungering for some seafood balls on the end of some sugar cane, deep fried to yummy goodness. Oh, and to welcome her home too I guess. *grin* So, who'd like to come?
Friday 12:30
Place What Used to Be Chau's Teahouse, now called Northbridge Chinese Family Resturaunt (though if you read chinese apparently there is a "dragon" thrown in there somewhere too) . I've picked this one as it has more room between tables than the others, plus it has deep fried seafood balls on sugar cane. =-) It's on Roe street. Get off the train station, heading towards Northbridge. On the corner of William and Roe, if you are facing Northbridge, turn to your left and go down about 100 metres. It has green tiles. Let me know if you are coming so I can get a big enough table.
It will probably cost about $20 a head. Maybe $25. I can't remember. It's been a while since I have been anywhere. It might be less. Um.
Day Light Saving
I don't mind people disagreeing, and I don't mind "debate." But so far, all the people who "debate" DLS tend to be for it, and they are rude and mean about it too. Rude and mean people give me the shits and I want to beat them with a stick. Now, I have a personal belief that I am here on this planet to live, not to work, and while it's all very nice 99% of the population has been brainwashed into believing work is far more important than personal lives, I'm not into that. And I hate the way people think it's OK to be rude about it. Nyer.

Other Dreadfully Important Stuff
You know, I enjoy watering the garden. I like it. It's relaxing and calming, and gives me a chance to check out my garden, look at plants and wonder when I am supposed to pick broad beans. But it's always a bit of a pain in that we haven't invested properly in some decent gardening gear, so I end up 6 ft short of the bed that needs watering, covered with water and covered with wet dirt. Vinnie enjoys it though! Later on, I have promised myself I will investigate the hose situation, throw EVERYTHING out and invest in a single name brand of everything. Maybe then we'll end up with something like what I fantasize about. :-)
Pikelet is about 3 kilos now. S/he has switched sides, so head down and bum up still, but the spine is on the other side of my belly button. Still getting the burps and the heart burn and everything. Dreading days where there's JUST ME AND VINNIE. Thankfully, there's now only two of those. If you have nothing to do ...tomorrow.... or next Wednesday and feel like visiting me and making me a cup of tea, please let me know! I'm not hard work... and I sleep from 11 - 1... and so does Vinnie....

Um... Did I whine about yesterday? Oh. Looks like that's a yes. My eyes are much much better today (I can see after all) and all that. I'm just tired out. Pikelet is taking a lot from me. :-) I wish i could do more gardening. Oh, and Jackie French had comments about slashing legumous green manure, which I will copy out into the gardening blog later. When I get the book back from the kitchen. I have been eyeing off jicama for the garden too. The description just sounded so good.....

Broad beans - good for slashing! Plus, broad beans straight off the bush actually taste good, as opposed to whatever they do to the ones in the supermarket, or frozen. And it's heartening to have something grow so enthusiastically, unlike everything else I have planted recently!

As for Perth, if people need more sunlight, they should set their own clock earlier. No need to drag the rest of us into their masochistic chronometric urges :-).
