I'm not liking this new season of Dr Phil so much. He needs a slapping. He's a psychologist, not a goddamned lawyer or judge. Today's episode includes a Munchausen Mom, who damages her daughter so she can get more attention for herself, a woman who may or may not have buried a child alive, and all sorts of dodgy weird shit. I thought Mancamp was getting a bit too aggressive and violent, and now this?
He's not a law enforcer, he's just a psychologist. These people need to be stopped first, and then helped. I think a television show on this is a Jerry Springer like tactic, that not even Jerry would use. I liked Jerry Springer, it was always light hearted and tacky. I don't see the value in dead baby shows.

On better news, I had a cry today because I just wrote a climax that has been two novels in the making! It's something I envisioned since the first write, about 10 - 12 years ago, and it has finally come to pass! My god. Anyway, no, this does not mean the damn thing is finished with yet.

But it does give me hope for the future.
Two more days and Chesh finishes work. Yay! Can't wait!

Date: 2007-10-30 05:39 am (UTC)From:Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy is a psychiatric condition, that for the protection of children should be known about IMO. I also think it's a good idea to educate people as to why some people should not have or choose not to have children.
