Update on J

He has lost 80 grams more.
:-(

Anyway, there were tears and discussions and Chesh took us all out to dinner and I felt better. The reason our breastfeeding has been going haywire is simply stress. And I talked to the lactation consultant, and she said: it's stress. Do what you can to feel better and express five times a day.

I wanted to go for another walk, and I thought maybe I should do a walking meditation, and then it would do many things for me at once. And I thought; stuff that. It's time I wrestled with the dragon. So I got Chesh to drop me off at someone's house, and he and I had a long walk and talk.

I feel so much better. Mum is recovering in leaps and bounds. I have re-asserted my own limits and boundaries onto my friend. And now I am concentrating more fully on feeding.

But man, my breasts hurt! Five times a day on top of feeds! Gosh!

hey, I'm working my way back through my flist, after getting back from Mardi Gras.

I'm glad you've confronted what you needed to, and you've been able to move forward. Stress is a bitch, and you sound like you need some major downtime.

This is probably not my favourite time in childrearing, you know?
But he is gorgeous and it's nice spending time staring into his eyes...
