Feeling the Energy

Things are going pretty well around here.
Chesh is organized and having fun, the kids are lovely and all still alive, and we're so ready for Saturday we're starting to get excited now.

We might have a bit of a room party on the Saturday night, but we will be next to the kids, so we all have to be vewy vewy kwiet.

My garden has haybales! Yay! I'm so pleased! Mostly because it's a sign of things to come. The last time I started to get the garden organized, I fell pregnant, and everything stopped again. I am scoping out haybales and mulch and mushroom compost and manure and and and it's all so exciting! Plus I'm rewriting book 1, which is giving me headaches... and seems to go so very slowly after just writing books 3, 4 and 5 back to back like that!

I m ay be a little ambitios with Nanowrimo, since I want to finish book 1 before I start.... and I have hit 30K and 100 pages at the same time (I think there's something in this for all of us. God I hate word. Just fucking write what I type for fuck's sake. Stop auto-indenting, and stop FUCKING. ME. AROUND.) Only 200 more pages to go .... in two weeks... um... yeah. So, I'll be starting nano a little late this year, but should still be fine.

*crosses fingers*
Also, if there's any one who would like free coke and chocolate at the con, we have spaces for volunteers on front desk. You only need to do an hour!

I'll prolly have kids in tow, but if you can squeeze me on at times when I'm not on panel or launching Angel Rising on Saturday, I'll happily work the desk. I'm not sure we're gonna make it Sunday, but if we do, I'll also hang about.

there are ways of stopping word mucking you around, which mostly involved turning off all the bells and whistles. Sounds like 'autoformat while you type' is on, or the 'tab sets indent' is on, depending on which version of auto-indenting it is doing. A good debugging (ie turning everything off) solves most word problems...
