1. What inspired you to start Femmeconne, and then keep going with it? I always wanted to go to one and no one else ran them! Lots of reasons.
1) To stay sane while being a SAHM.
2) To hang out with friends with quality time instead of walking out of every party feeling like I needed another 12 hours to get all the conversations I wanted done, done.
3) To network, exchange ideas, energy, thoughts, provide social cohesion for a group of women who may sometimes feel disparate
4) To breakdown social barriers
5) To encourage others to be whatever they want and can be
6) I want to change the world, and believe the personal is as political as anything else.
7) So many people want to help, and don't know how. I like to think that I provide a space where people who want to help can think about issues and contribute in their own way to various causes and activisms.
8) To challenge myself (in cooking, planning, theoretical discussion, in doing, in thinking...)
2. What food or meal do you consume most often? I love rice. RICE ROCKS! Since I happen to love cooking curries, chinese, and apricot chicken, all of which go well with rice... RICE!
3. If you could go back to university, what would you study? Now that's an interesting question. I did an english and comparative lit degree because when i did it, there was no Creative Writing Degree, just 2 courses - Creative Writing 1 and Creative Writing II. So, just the other day, i was looking at doing an honours in Creative Writing. I always said if I did go back I'd consider Politics and Gender, but I'm not so certain about that these days. Other people seem to be tackling that for me. *glances at

4. Do you have anything specific you do before you go to sleep at night? I tell Chesh I love him. Sometimes I tell him how much, and sometimes why. :-)
5. Do you have any favourite scents or aromas? My favourite scent ever was a mix of patchouli, cloves, and ylang ylang. It was a soap and there was a matching candle etc etc etc but the company no longer makes that mix. *sigh* I love the deeper earthier scents of cloves and cinnamon, and love patchouli and ylang ylang too.
