callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Good as Gold AOL)
In the efforts of trying to make money and not working in an office, we're trying to clean out the small spare room (previously known as Claude's room) and make it into a home office. It's an amusing effort, really brings home the fact that we live in Australia, land of the skittery dangerous spidery snakey things. The number of spider egg sacs gives silent testament to the length of time between serious cleanings, serious spider spray, and serious use it has had. The bed's going to stay in there, but we're just going to ... re-arrange a few things.

Thanks for [livejournal.com profile] dragonchrome for making me get off my ass and start this. It's going to take a bit of planning. Chesh has suggested we drag everything out and then put back in what I want back in there. And that when he gets home he puts in things he wants. And same with Mangaboy when he gets home. I figure that's a brilliant idea, but if we get the Ivar first, then we can restack it all nicely.

Although, if we don't have the Ivar, then we have the impetus to be harsher when we ditch stuff.....Oh, the dilemmas! My hands are covered with a fine layer of dust. It's not as full of sh*t as it used to be, we've actually had a couple of serious purges in the past few years. It's just that now I have the vouchers from my redundancy presents to spend, and I know where I want them spent. On my office!

I've found some stuff from my childhood too, like a trophy and small cute things. I just look at them and want to ditch them but at the same time, I don't know. Oh, and Mynxii, expect to be gettings some of your stuff back this weekend! My parents are in for a rude shock too when I give some stuff back to them also!

A rug and a mattress/purple thing which might actually be a sleeping bag, but not sure.

remember, if you have any books that need shiftign out..I can give them a new home. ;D
And some of them are damaged cos they weren't stacked, they were just thrown in. Do you want them? The other ones are from high school and stuff.
Yes please! :)

I'll take all books (esp novels).
A bit of damage is okay. The only thing I would not take on is heavily water damaged/mouldy books.

As for the cowboy stuff - that would be so good coz at work we have a grumpy old man who ONLY reads westerns and has just about read everything we have! If I can give those to him, it might shut him up for a while! ;D
