And I think I did OK... I had to drink some champagne before I felt numb enough to be social though. :( Lots and lots of friends there, wanted to talk, just couldn't ... champagne helped. But then someone offered me some of the wedding cake.
I fell into a big mess. I had a whole group of friends who love me hugging and touching and holding me, and I'm so very grateful for every single one of them. Mikey was a lovely man I have known for close to twenty years. He's done so much, and been around for so long, it seems odd that he's gone and there'll be no more. I am glad I fell apart; I am hoping this will wash away my grief.
