The parade was very wet! We wore plastic ponchos, which were just like plastic bin bags with holes cut in them for arms and a hood. ;-) It was very crowded,, and I missed fair chunks because A kept handing me drinks from about 6:00 onwards. I was the most photographed person - I was wearing the new corset i wore for R's birthday, a satin skirt, and my docs cos it looked a bit wet, and a shawl which buttoned on so I wouldn't have to carry it all the time. I looked hot, and one photographer was for a uni paper, another phtographer was a free lance worker, and the rest of the people were all asian tourists. The last time i was photgraphed so much was my wedding!!
We've moved out of the hotel and into Raucaus's place for the next three nights. Tomorrow we are planning on hiding from the world for a day - and I will take many photos of the magnificent view from here. His company pays $500 a week for this place! But it's really, really nice. It's also very weird when we went to mankly to see the other ocean, and watched the sun NOT set over the water.
Talk to you all again soon,
Calli
